Assorted Arrangements!
(Note: This page is for any works I only have one track for or simply not enough to have their own page. As such, expect this page to possibly get smaller over time as tracks are moved around. I'll warn in the updates sidebar regardless!)
The Dark Star (from Secret of Mana)
Dated October 31st, 2017, my second work ever. Still in the orchestra preset era of throwing things and seeing what sticks. Warning for a very high-pitched flute... still solid besides that, I think.
Original:
ECHO (by Crusher-P)
Dated November 1st, 2017. I remember this one being made on a whim as I was REALLY into Vocaloid. For an orchestra preset era track, it turned out real nice!
Original:
Smiles and Tears (from EarthBound)
Dated November 2nd, 2017. This one was my early era peak, not gonna lie. Apart from that annoying clarinet that does that weird cracking noise on higher notes (turns out this is just a MuseScore 2 issue. Or something. But it got stuck on the export and I lost the project file, sadly.), it's a nice version of a nice EarthBound theme o(* ̄︶ ̄*)o
Original:
Cut the Cord (by The Living Tombstone)
Also dated November 2nd, 2017. Requested by my best friend, made as a challenge to see how fast I could arrange a track with the preset. That slowdown at the end turned out epic! Shame about the dying cello and contrabass, seems like MS2 isn't made for that low of a note.
Original (man, seems like the embed doesn't work. Whoops!):
Wanderer (from Live-A-Live)
Dated February 5th, 2019. While the flute's basically become a staple of my work, I think it worked brilliantly. Especially to mask how dry the guitar turned out, haha. I also may have messed up the percussion, hence those equally as dry... noises. English is hard...
Reworked it on December 17th, 2022 on MuseScore 4, now with even better flute AND tubular bells! If only Muse Sounds also had improved guitars...
Original (man, embeds blocked on this video? That's a shame...):
Tumbler (from World of Goo)
Dated July 29th, 2020. Introducing the accordion! This one was rather nice, apart from maybe the Made Up Chords I ended up inserting in the final part.
Original:
Hill.gym (from Sonic.EXE)
Dated June 16th, 2022. I half considered placing this in the Sonic folder but ultimately decided against it. Sonic.EXE holds... a strange place in my heart. So naturally I make a strings, flute and oboe arrangement of its soundtrack.
Reworked it on December 17th, 2022 on MuseScore 4, primarily to test out the newer orchestra instruments. Is it just me or did it come off as even more foreboding?
Original:
Vib-Ribbon Blues (from Vib-Ribbon)
Dated July 18th, 2022. A lovely... strange tune. Vibri's speaking voice does not translate well into sheet. Still, one of the few tracks where I actually kept the percussion!
Reworked it on December 17th, 2022 on MuseScore 4. Not much changed, I think, more of an instrument test again...
Original:
Dark City (from Cry of Fear)
Dated March 2nd, 2024. This one was a doozy. The sheet had wrong chords and had to fix them by ear. My idea was a music box, but I guess MS4 doesn't count it as an instrument, so marimba it is. Still spooky/sad, no?
Original (not the actual official release since that one also blocks embeds! What gives?):
